Chinese PC maker AOOSTAR was one of the first companies to introduce a mini PC with an AMD Strix Point processor when it first unveiled the AOOSTAR GEM10 370 in September. But the computer has yet to actually start shipping, and now the company has revealed a new design for the upcoming PC, along with a few new details.
According to a post on Chinese social media, the AOOSTAR GEM10 370 will be available in China soon, where a model with an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage will sell for 5,299 CNY (about $730). There’s no word on global pricing or availability yet.
The computer features LPDDR5-8000 memory soldered to the motherboard, plus two M.2 slots for user-upgradeable storage. Other features include support for WiFi 7 and a set of ports that includes USB4, USB 3.0 Type-A, 3.5mm audio, and OCuLink.
Fun fact: the port layout on the front of the computer appears to be identical to the GMK EVO-X1 HX370 mini PC, which is expected to have the same processor. It wouldn’t be surprising if they have the same motherboard, even though the cases for the two computers look a little different from one another.
At the heart of both systems is a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor which is a 12-core, 24-thread processor with four Zen 5 CPU cores, 8 Zen 5C cores, Radeon 890M graphics with 16 RDNA 3.5 GPU cores, and a Ryzen AI neural processing unit with up to 50 TOPS of on-device AI performance.
AOOSTAR says the chip will run at up to 54 watts in the GEM10 370 mini PC.
