The MINISFORUM EliteMini AI370 is one of the first mini desktop computers available with an AMD Strix Point processor featuring Zen 5 CPU cores, RDNA 3.5 graphics, and a Ryzen AI neural processing unit that delivers up to 50 TOPS of on-device AI performance.
First unveiled earlier this month, the EliteMini AI370 is now available for pre-order from the MINISFORUM website, with systems expected to begin shipping to customers on November 4, 2024.
MINISFORUM is charging $1,099 for a model with an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage during pre-orders, although customers who order before October 29th can save $50 by using the code AI370 at checkout.
The AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor is a 45-watt chip with 12 CPU cores, 24 threads, and support for frequencies up to 5.1 GHz. It features a 16-core Radeon 890M GPU with support for speeds up to 2.9 GHz. And while the NPU offers up to 50 TOPS of AI performance, when all of the computer’s parts work together you get up to 80 TOPS of overall performance.
The computer has a “premium, durable plastic” body that measures 5.12″ x 5″ x 1.85″. It features a set of ports that includes:
- 1 x USB4 (40 Gbps)
- 4 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A (10 Gbps)
- 1 x DisplayPort 2.0
- 1 x HDMI 2.1
- 2 x 2.5 GbE
- 1 x 3.5mm audio
MINISFORUM says the computer supports up to three 4K displays at 120 Hz if you use the HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB4 ports at the same time. Each port can also theoretically support displays up to 8K/60Hz, although it doesn’t seem likely that the computer would be powerful enough to drive three 8K displays at once.
Under the hood there’s 32GB of LPDDR5x-7500 memory and two M.2 2280 slots for PCIe 4.0 storage plus a wireless card with support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
Since the RAM is soldered to the mainboard, it’s not user replaceable. But storage is – MINISFORUM says the computer supports up to 4TB of total storage.
There’s also cooling system that consists of three copper heat pipes and “a large silent fan,” as well as a second fan that covers the SSDs.
