The MEGAMINI G1 is a small desktop computer designed for gaming. It features NIVDIA GeForce RTX 4060 graphics, a 13th-gen Intel Core H-series processor configured to run at up to 65 watts, and a liquid cooling system designed to keep everything running smoothly.
First unveiled earlier this year, the MEGAMINI G1 should be available for pre-order soon through a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign set to begin September 3. A preview for the campaign is already live.
Before we dive into the hardware, a note on this computer’s pedigree.
The company that first unveiled the MEGAMINI G1 is a Chinese brand called TECNO. But this summer Chinese mini PC maker GEEKOM announced it was teaming up with TECNO to bring the little gaming PC to market, promising we’d have more details during the IFA show in Berlin (which takes place next week). So it’s unsurprising to see GEEKOM listed as the creator of the upcoming crowdfunding campaign.
Previously we’d learned that the computer would feature an Intel Core i9-13900H processor and NVIDIA RTX 4060 graphics, but now it looks like that will be what you get from a top-of-the-line model. GEEKOM’s spec sheet shows that there may also be a cheaper model with a Core i7-13620H processor.
The computer measures 255 x 150 x 150mm (10″ x 5.9″ x 5.9″) and has an internal volume of 5.74 liters and a cooling system that combines water cooling, a copper heat sink, and two fans. You can see the system in action thanks to clear panels on the sides of the case. And since this is a gaming rig, of course there are RGB lights that add a bit of visual flare. There’s also a small display above the clear panel on the front of the computer, which can show real-time CPU, GPU, and temperature status. information.
GEEKOM says folks who back the MEGAMINI G1 crowdfunding campaign within the first three days of launch can save up to $200 off the retail price. Reward levels will start at $1499 for a model with a Core i7-13620H processor, NVIDIA RTX 4060 graphics, 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. A higher-priced configuration with a Core i9-13900H chip and a 2TB SSD will start at $1699.
Both the memory and storage are user-upgradeable.
The crowdfunding campaign will end in October, and GEEKOM says it will begin shipping the MEGAMINI G1 to backers in November.
