The Beelink EQi12 is a compact desktop computer that measures 126 x 126 x 44.2mm (4.96″ x 4.96″ x 1.74″), dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, two HDMI ports, and support for up to two PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSDs.
While it’s not the smallest mini PC around, the EQi12 has another space-saving feature up its sleeve: an integrated power supply. That means that all you need to connect the computer to a wall jack is a simple power cable: no bulky power brick required. The Beelink EQi12 is available now from the Beelink website for $319 and up. Select configurations are also available from Beelink’s Amazon store.
The starting price is for a model with a 28-watt Intel Core i3-1220P Alder Lake processor, 24GB of LPDDR5-5200 memory, and a 500GB SSD. But you can also pay a bit more for a 45-watt Core i5-12450H or Core i7-12650H processor and up to 1TB of storage.
Open up the computer’s plastic chassis and you’ll find an 85W power supply, and a cooling system that includes an SSD heat sink and a CPU cooler with heat fins, heat pipes, and a fan that Beelink says operates “almost silently” with sound levels “as low as 32 dB for daily use.”
The computer’s LPDDR5 memory is soldered to the mainboard and therefore cannot be upgraded. But the PC has two M.2 2280 slots for PCIe 4.0 x4 SSDs.
Ports include:
- 2 x HDMI
- 2 x Gigabit Ethernet
- 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (10 Gbps for data only)
- 3 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A (10 Gbps)
- 1 x USB 2.0 Type-A (480 Mbps)
- 1 x 3.5mm audio
- 1 x AC power cord plug
The Beelink EQi12 also has an Intel AX101 wireless card with support for WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
If the design looks familiar, that’s because the Beelink EQi12 is very similar to the Beelink EQ13 that launched earlier this year. But that’s a cheaper model that features a 6-watt, Intel N200 Alder Lake-N processor with four Efficiency cores by no Performance cores. The EQ13 should deliver much better performance.
