Chinese mini PC maker MINISFORUM is expanding its line of compact gaming desktops with the new MINISFORUM AtomMan G7 Ti. It’s basically a small desktop computer with the guts of a decent gaming laptop, including support for up to a 55-watt, 24-core, 32-thread Intel Core i9-14900HX Raptor Lake processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 mobile graphics.
If the name sounds familiar, that’s because the AtomMan G7 Ti joins the recently launched AMD-powered AtomMan G7 Pt in the MINISFORUM gaming lineup. And if design looks familiar, that’s because the company actually showed off the computer earlier this year under a different name for the Chinese market. But now it’s getting a global launch as part of the AtomMan family.
The computer is expected to measure about 397 x 236 x 33mm (15.6″ x 9.3″ x 1.3″), which makes it rather large by mini PC standards, but similar in size to a game console – it’s smaller than a PS5, but bigger than a PS5 Slim.
The system supports up to 96GB of DDR5-5600 dual-channel memory, up to two M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs, and features an Intel BE200 wireless card with support for WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
Ports include a 40 Gbps USB4 Type-C port, HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.0, and a Gigabit Ethernet jack, as well as a microSD card reader, audio jack, and several USB Type-A ports.
There are two fans and five heat pipes inside the chassis, which MINISFORUM says allows for up to 180W of cooling performance.
And, of course, since this is a gaming PC, there’s support for RGB lighting effects.
As for whether you’re better off opting for the Intel or AMD model? There are some pros and cons to each. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU in the Intel model is a bit more powerful than AMD’s Radeon RX 7600M XT GPU, and the Intel version has a USB4 port with up to four times faster data transfer speeds than the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port in the AMD model.
But only the AMD model features PCIe 5.0 and 2.5 GbE Ethernet.
