Earlier this year TECNO showed off a small desktop computer designed for gaming. The MEGA Mini G1 debuted at Mobile World Congress in February, and it features a 13th-gen Intel Core i9 processor, NVIDIA graphics, liquid cooling, plenty of RGB lights, and clear panels that let you see inside.

Now mini PC maker GEEKOM has announced plans to bring a TECNO x GEEKOM branded version of the little gaming PC to the IFA show in Berlin in September.

That’s interesting because while TECNO doesn’t typically sell its products in the United States, GEEKOM does. And that means there’s a good chance you may be able to buy this unusual little computer in the future.

While the 255 x 150 x 150mm (10″ x 5.9″  x 5.9″) computer with an internal volume of 6 liters is a bit on the large side for a “mini PC,” it’s still pretty small for a desktop computer, and closer to the size you’d expect from a game console. (Incidentally, those dimensions are a little higher than the 249 x 132 x 132mm (9.8″ x 5.2″ x 5.2″) that TECNO had announced during MWC, suggesting that either the original specs were wrong, or that the latest model is a little larger than the earlier prototypes).

According to marketing materials shared by AndroidPC.es, much of the space inside the Mega Mini Gaming G1 is dedicated to an enhanced cooling system which features:

  • 6888 mm² pure copper heat sink
  • Dual “industrial-grade”  fans including a 120 x 120mm fan and a 70 x 70mm fan
  • “Ultra-Quiet, High-Lift Pump” with 360 ml coolant capacity, maximum flow rate of 2.0 LPM for up to 8 circulations per minute, and noise levels under 26 dB
  • L-shaped integrated radiator “capable of dissipating up to 250W of power” while taking up les space

That’s all designed to help keep the Intel Core i9-13900H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 discrete GPU running at optimal performance, and there’s a small LCD status display above the clear panel on the front of the computer that allows you to see system stats at a glance.

Other features include two SODIMM slots with support for up to a total of 64 GB of DDR5-5200 memory, two M.2 2280 slots for PCIe 4.0 NVMe storage, support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, and a set of ports that includes:

  • 1 x OCuLink
  • 1 x Thunderbolt
  • 2 x HDMI 2.0
  • 1 x USB Type-C (“full function”
  • 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
  • 2 x USB 3.1 Ge 1 Type-A
  • 1 x USB 3.0 Type-A
  • 1 x USB 2.0 Type-A
  • 1 x 2.5 GbE Ethernet
  • 1 x 3.5mm audio
  • 1 x SD card reader
  • 1 x DC power input

The computer comes with a 330W GaN power adapter and ships with Windows 11 Pro software.

Pricing and availability should be revealed closer to release.
