The ECS Liva line of computers are small desktop PCs, typically positioned as commercial or industrial solutions, but they often have the kind of hardware you’d expect from a decent home computer.

ECS is planning to showcase several new products the Computex trade show in Tawain this June, including the company’s first ECA Liva mini PC with an Intel Meteor Lake processor. It’s calling the ECS Liva Z7 Plus a mini PC designed “for AI workloads,” thanks to its integrated Intel AI Boost neural processing unit.

According to ECS, the Liva Z7 Plus will be powered by a Meteor Lake-H series processor, which means it’ll have an Intel Core Ultra 5, 7, or 9 chip with Intel Arc integrated graphics, as well as the aforementioned NPU.

Other features include:

  • Support for up to 96GB of DDR5 memory
  • M.2 2280 slot for PCIe Gen 4×4 NVMe storage
  • 1 x 2.5 GbE Ethernet port
  • 1 x Gigabit Ethernet port
  • 2 x HDMI ports
  • 2 x USB4 Type-C ports (with DisplayPort Alt mode)
  • WiFi 6E
  • Additional ports including USB 3.2 Type-C and Type-A and USB 2.0 Type-A

In other words, the computer should support up to four displays as well as multiple network connections (wired and wireless).

ECS hasn’t announced pricing or availability yet.

The Liva Z7 Plus is just one of several new systems the company plans to showcase at Computex, and it’s probably the most consumer-friendly of the bunch. Others include:

  • ECS P200 Box PC for industrial applications, with six COM ports, eight USB ports, and two Gigabit Ethernet ports
  • ECS X5A Fanless Box PC with an NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin 32GB system-on-a-module for up to 200 TOPS of AI performance, designed for autonomous robots, among other things
  • ECS M600 mini PC with an Intel Alder Lake-N processor and support for cameras and weight sensors when used in “shop shelf” applications to “detect which items customers take, and instantly update the check-out kiosk for prompt, effortless customer payment on departure.”

The company will also be showing off a new micro ATX motherboard for gaming PCs and a smart charging solution for electric vehicles.
